Oooo!! I think it's VINTAGE BUTTON CARD SWAP time!!

Hi Floozies!

We have some new members in the pipeline as well as quite a few followers! I think that the summer heat is getting to me! I'm gonna work on the plans over the next few day to host a VINTAGE BUTTON CARD Swap. Doesn't that sound fun??? I was browsing through my Country Living, and they had sewing notions listed as one of 'the' things to collect this year. Uh?? Haven't we been collecting them for years? Hoarding them? sorting them? Not daring to cut the strings that hold the antique/vintage buttons down? (or the metal pieces) Whoever thought of using pieces of metal to hold down buttons? Really, I have to ask. They are the most annoying thing to undo off a button. Anyways.. sorry about the rant. :)

If you don't have any buttons on their original cards how about creating one, or some.. with buttons, the more the merrier! We are all very crafty ladies, if I do say so myself, and I'd love to see what we can come up with to hold our collections!

So, let me know what you think.. I haven't hosted a swap of this sort and will work out the details. If you have learned from experience PLEASE let me know your secrets either here as a comment or by Emailing Me.

Also, Closet Floozies may participate. (those floozies that don't want to admit they have a passion for buttons yet!)

xoxo~

ooooh... I may have to shop for some on a card... or make a card for them. I dare to take them off the card most the time. :::ducking the raised hands::: I've found in my own swaps, that I prefer people to ship to me, with postage paid in return... maybe for something as light as buttons, a self addressed stamped envelope with XXX amount of postage on it? And then you'd stuff the envelopes with buttons from someone else. That way, those who don't SEND don't GET. And those who DO send, GET something for SURE. That's been how I've done my swaps, but they are also small when I do them.

I'm in too. It'll give me something specific to look for at the Antique Mall tomorrow. Not that I needed a reason to go. :)
