A recent trip to a local antique store proved to be well worth my time! I came up with some wonderful old buttons, along with some vintage jewelry and other treasured items. I'll be using them on some of my Victorian cones and sculpted pieces.

Whimsy Button Jar

Image
I love whimsy jars. I participated in a whimsy jar swap almost a year ago. I mentioned it on my blog . I made one recently for a swap. For this swap, I stuck to a barn red, mustard yellow, and soldier blue color scheme, which my partner mentioned that she liked. I decorated the lid with a large silk sunflower. I sent my partner several buttons and other embellishments I thought she would like. You are welcome to visit my blog to see what else I sent my partner . I hope you are enjoying your weekend. :D

Swappin'

I've mentioned the joys of including buttons in swap packages before. (Look here , here , here , and here ). For a recent swap, I received pretty cream-colored buttons from my swap partner. Sheila wrapped the buttons in a lovely handkerchief with pink roses on the front. You can imagine my delight. Buttons add so much charm to the prettiest of swap packages. To read more about this swap, you are welcome to visit me at my blog and visit the original post . xo.

Hi fellow floozies! I thought I'd share some of my favourite old button cards with you. How adorable are these blue and green flowers, and the red celluloid grapes - almost good enough to eat! More lovely buttons here ! Cheers!
