BUTTONS HOLDING THREAD

I'm so excited to get to be a Button Floozie !! I'm surrounded by buttons, all colors, all sizes, all shapes. A few days ago I found lots of buttons in an antique store in Georgetown, Ky. Many of them had to come home with me. As I started to go through them, I discovered a lot of them still held thread. That made stories fly through my head. Who sewed those buttons on, who wore the clothes, who cut them off, or did they get lost? One story is taking root, I'm wondering where it will take me.

A Good Swap Package Includes Buttons

The swapping fun really never stops at my house. A few posts ago , I mentioned the swap I hosted at my blog . Remember? Well. I had another lovely swap partner. Mary at Vintage Patina . She sent me a lovely package. Look here if you're curious about all of what Mary sent me. Amongst the lovelies were buttons. *grin* I love me some darling pink and blue buttons. I, too, sent Mary some buttons. What kind of floozy would I be if I didn't? :)

My name is Karen (aka Recycled Rita) and I am a button floozie. I have tried to deny it for a while now, but there is no avoiding it! I am madly in love with buttons and have grown quite a collection... My friend has been helping me find goodies for my inspiration kits that I sell on etsy and she brought this wonderful sewing drawer full of buttons to me on friday: I was happy the rest of the day! Here are some close-ups... pretty colors.... Lovely Whites...... And sparkly rhinestones..... OOOoooooo La La! Then today, while shopping at the flea market with me, she pulled out a baggie and said "you seemed to like those buttons the other day..." Are you kidding me??? and she got all of these for $1 and won't let me give her any extra! I will be keeping some and selling some on my etsy . I love to pair my love of vintage postcards and ephemera with buttons. Here are some button cards that I just listed on my etsy site today: Well, I would love you to come visit me on my blo

Oh, be still my button floozy heart. I hosted A Charming Color Swap over at my blog . My swap partner Leslie sent me this assortment of buttons in the color scheme I chose: pastel pink and pastel yellow. Here are some of the buttons with some of the beautiful items she sent me: Surely, you must know, that I sent Leslie some buttons, too, in the colors of her choice: light shades of pink and blue in a lovely apothecary jar. What fun swapping with Leslie! :)

Hi Everyone. I am also a new floozie. I have been following for a while and am loving all of the button creations, button organisation and button finds that have been posted about. I must admit that I am quite new to button loving as well so I don't have a huge collection of buttons except the spares that come with my new clothes that I have been collecting for years. I started making fabric covered buttons for the accessories that I could make them into but I'm now really enjoying just the buttons for themselves. I send buttons all over the world and I often wonder what happens to them. It doesn't always feel right to ask. A friend of mine attached some aeroplanes and helicopters to her son's kindergarten hat so he knew it was his amongst all the other matching ones. One of my customers said her husband wanted my green robot buttons on a shirt, and another order was going to be made into accessories such as key chains and things. The ones at the bottom were going onto
