Flower Power...

Image
I just could not resist these cute little flower buttons! Not sure what I am going to do with them just yet but to be honest I am quite happy just looking at them! Actually, an idea is just starting to grow. Thought another picture was needed here. Look good enough to eat, don't they. xx Andrea

Majestic Tag Swap

Image
I participated in this Majestic Tags Swap . hosted by my sweet friend Jenny. For the swap, we were to make a 12 tags, and ship them off to Jenny. She would then put the tags together, and make a book of tags for each of the participants. Jenny wanted the tags to be decorated with fancy birds, royal hues, crowns, and majestic notions. The buttons add subtle charm and elegance to the tags, I think. I'm sure you would agree being a button floozy (or closeted floozy) and all. ;) If you would like to read my thought process behind these tags, you are welcome to come visit me at my blog at the original post . xo.

Buttonoholic Brooch

Image
Hello button friends! I've been having a mental block lately. I couldn't seem to come up with any new ideas for my makes. I asked for some advice from the lovely peeps on the Folksy forums, who said the best way is to stop thinking about it (along with lots of other good ideas for inspiration!). So I just sat down, surrounded myself with all my scrummy, colourful buttons & made this little brooch. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out & have listed it in my Folksy Shop http://folksy.com/shops/Chumley . I just wondered what inspires you? Would be really interested to hear where you seek inspiration for any creativity. Feel free to catch up with me on my blog 'Mollimoo Makes' by clicking on the title of this post. Have a great week x

can you help me please?

i have seen buttons like this in a "marcasite" colourway but not in a goldtone before , they are glass and they have a 4-way brass shank *** these are unusual too they are glass with a faux printed silk effect to the centres , the rim and colour remind me of victorian jet mourning buttons but the floral pattern makes me think 1950's these also have the 4-way brass shanks Please can you help identifying the age of these buttons? Any help greatly appreciated :0) x vInTaGe VioLeT x

Vintage Button Desktop Background

Image
I was reading the Craft blog and came across a post where you can go and download this picture as a desktop background. I immediately thought of my fellow button floozies and just had to come share. The artist is even selling it as a print (would be cute hanging in a craft room). Her name is Shanon Gass and you can go here to download it. Enjoy! It has been a long time since my last post... and here I am again :) I want to show you my new flower brooches. Some of them have some beads in the middle, but some have the lovely buttons: And this one is my favourite:

Pretty in Pink

I just love looking at this button. It is about 3cm wide, plain pink on the back and is soooo pretty! So I decided to use it here... Have a great weekend. x
