Button-y valentine cards

I do enjoy quiet Sundays spent crafting with the frenzy of televised football games for background "music".   I've been sewing buttons (and trim) onto scanned antique images to create Valentine cards for crafty ladies. They're easy to disassemble so the buttons can be used for creating! New in my Etsy shop today! What have you been creating with buttons?

But what was on the back was a bonus.. Down the entire length of back and train are all these tiny silk-covered buttons....91 of them. There is a small bit of crystal beading in the  front but  the straps are elaborately and elegantly beaded ...

Button Cards

My Mom bought me these buttons for Christmas. I'm not sure how old they are, but I love the color and art deco style. I have to admit, I sometimes love the button cards as much as the buttons themselves~ sometimes even more, and have been known to buy them just for the card on occasion(!) Even though this isn't the case here, I still love the old timey logo and fonts, and the little saying on the side.Cute! I have a hard time taking the buttons off of some of these to use. How about you?
