Button Floozies

Just wanted to share some of my vintage buttons I've been adding to some fabric cuffs recently. Most of these were given to me from various family and friends who know I love buttons-vintage especially! a sparkly rhinestone button plastic and glass metal buttons I'm not sure how old these are.Any ideas? I'm using them both as 'closures', and as decorations : ) the top one will be added to my shop soon, and the bottom one has been sold already (thank you : ) ~ you can read more about them on my blog.

Hi there~ I have been knitting so much -and crocheting too-an awful lot of gifts for the Holidays!! I made up these 2 earwarmers~ ( a free pattern you can find on ravelry ) I was looking for the perfect button to add to these, when I remembered some buttons I won from fellow Button Floozie, McAnaraks...( You can see that post here , and here's another post about their buttons here ). I thought I would need to find a button with a shank for the loop to fit securely around, and these didn't have one... but I thought they were too perfect for the headbands, so when I went to stitch them on, I just when up through the underside of the headband with the yarn, through the first and second hole, then wrapped the yarn around those 2 threads underneath the buttons, to make the buttons sit higher and make a sort of shank, and then took the yarn back to the underside of the headband and wove in the ends~Perfect!

I just wanted to share some vintage buttons I was having a hard time choosing between for my new bag ...   Aren't they pretty? I really wanted to add them all... (The one on the far left is a new one, but reproduction) Come take a peek at my blog to see which one I chose ;)

Hi there- I just wanted to share a photo I took of some pretty buttons from a local scrapbook store. I love vintage but sometimes I find buttons in paper stores too :) I can't wait to use these on a new project!

Just thought I'd share some vintage buttons from a most recent project. I love the swirly details. And the burnt orange and chocolate colors~ they remind me of Autumn : ) And some, not so vintage. In fact-I believe they're new. But I love the colors too : ) I'm getting ready for Autumn colors~even if they're just in buttons!

The left and far right buttons are vintage.The center one is a crystal style new on e . I just made up a few cell phone cozies. One of the best parts about making them is getting to choose from my vast button collection ; ) I actually didn't go with any of those... I went with a vintage orange one!
