Button Floozies

I just took these buttons out of their moulds, and I am very excited by the colour combinations....not sure what I did to get these effects, I'll have to reverse engineer them to try and repeat it. I think these buttons need to be used in a group to look at their best, I will experiment with them on my customised clothing, or maybe make some wristycuffs specially for them....will show you all what I do with them at a later date...I just wanted to share my excitement with fellow buttoneers, normal people don't really understand http://www.mcanaraks.com/

Springtime! Flowers! Lovely blossoms that will last! I have been making "button bouquets" using vintage buttons, text from an old dictionary, scrapbook paper, vintage salt & pepper shakers/creamers/sugar bowls and discarded/broken old pearl necklaces. I have participated in yet another swap- no surprise there. ;) For this swap we were to fill a petite basket with pretty things. Do you think I included buttons? Absolutely... I had a great time at the flea this morning. One of the sellers that I visit frequently had some buttons bagged up. She said she always sees buttons and passes them up but decided to try them this time, I think I made her happy she did. She asked me what I did with them and I told her I use them in my art but love to just have the white ones around me...in bowls, jars etc.... She just giggled at me and shook her head..... Have you seen MoonMum's clever use of buttons? I am a big fan and have been buying cards and wall art from MoonMum for a while now. I love these new little chick buttons and they inspired me to share. It's Mother's Day in Australia in a couple of weeks. Perfect. Lou.
