On saturday, hubby and were out garage-saling and after I had purchased a couple of goodies from one house and started to walk away, I spotted this little treasure! The tin alone made me happy!
But then I found that it was filled with vintage sewing goodies and lots of buttons....yippee!
There were also needles, thread, cufflinks and garter clips...... fun! fun!

What a beautiful swap present my mailman brought me a few weeks ago. Laurie from Indulge Your Shelf was my It's About Time swap partner. She sent many, many lovely items. One of my favorites is this beautiful button collage on damask which Laurie stitched herself!! What care she put into this fabulous work!!! This is an heirloom that I will be sharing with generations to come!!! If you'd like to see more pics of all the other great sewing items I received from Laurie, please visit me at Unshelved Words!

I want to wish all the button floozies a Happy 4th of July. This is a little flag I made out of vintage buttons. Just laid them out on a cloth and took a picture to put on my blog for Vintage Thingies Thursday. Just wanted to share this patriotic image made out of wonderful vintage buttons.
