I purchased this collection of BUTTONS at the local Volunteers of America Thrift Store for $2.99!
All the buttons were threaded together, worn and weathered...They are PERFECT this way!
They remind me of WHAT'S IN!

Thanks for looking, Button Floozies!

$1.00 bag

I went into a resale shop that has upscale items however found this small bag of white buttons marked $1.00. Which made me happy

I found 3 little buttons with a rhinestone center, a couple glass buttons
The rest are mother of pearl and odd and ends of vintage buttons, they will all find a new home in jars of like buttons

                                             Oh one tulip button

American Songbirds by Singer Sewing Machine

I just finished a few more birds in the series of American song birds put out on advertising cards by Singer Sewing Machines around the turn of the century. There were 14 birds in the  series and I have gradually worked through them. I have the entire collection of cards of the Singer series and plan to use them in a needlework project.

All  buttons are hand painted by me and there are no transfers. They are meant for decorative or collective purposes and are not washable.. Each finished button received several coats of an acyrilic sealer to protect them.  You can see more of my buttons on my Etsy site... https://www.etsy.com/shop/olderrose

Military Buttons

I was digging through a glass covered dish full of buttons I bought at an estate sale couple years ago and still spotting buttons I didn't know was in this dish. I had never noticed the button with the eagle on it

I bought the box of buttons for all the buttons with stones on them and a few rhinestone buttons. Love the large metal button with the black stone. It's about size of a silver  half dollar

There is some fabulous silver metal buttons also I need to figure out how to make a bracelet out of these
