Button quilt at the Houston Quilt Show

I don't think anyone posted this picture of one of the quilts in Houston this year..  You can read more about it here.... http://www.apositiveoutlook-janice.blogspot.com.

My quilt on women's suffrage was hanging there also and it has several hundred vintage black glass buttons as well as old metal buttons.

I absolutely love buttons and quilting, but I didn't realize they were put together in quite that way. I love your work. It's such an important time in history and its a really interesting thing to show that history through such a small, usually considered insignificant, very associated with women, type of object. I hope you understand what I mean :) I wish I could get up close and see your work. Thank you for sharing it here! Magistra13 at yahoo dot com

I think all of us are swooning over both of these quilts, and the artistry. Yours is such a labor of love, Gerri. And that button burst quilt is nothing short of spectacular!!
