Indian/Buffalo Nickel Shank Buttons
Recently my sister sent a box of treasures to me. I posted on the buttons that were in the box, but wanted to share the unique shank buttons that are made from Indian/Buffalo Nickels. There are nine of each. You can see some of the additional buttons in my post on my blog.

Very, very cool!
I bought a blazer recently at the Goodwill just to get those very buttons off of it! I love them. I wonder if they were mass produced at sometime as there seems to be a lot of them about.
I have some of these same buttons. I bought them years ago for a cordoroy dress and absolutely loved them!
