This little birdie...

This little birdie is posing prettily with some of my recent antique store purchases: a spring, some laces and trims, and, of course...
some beautiful shell buttons, lovingly preserved on a scrap of card.  They have a beauty all their own!

I love your special finds...it keeps me searching for buttons in my own thrift stores. So many people are gluing buttons on these days ...they are scarce. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

Wait a minute I have springs I took out of an antique rocking chair my daughter bought! Are they worth something? LOL! Can't wait to see what you do with your spring!

Hi Laurie! I must admit, I'm a woman who loves buttons too, especially vintage ones. I have some plush frogs on my blog that have huge green eyes made from vintage buttons. Here's a link: http://www.plushpussycat.com/search/label/frogs I'm so glad I found your blog today--it's a lot of fun here! :-) I look forward to more kinship with my fellow button floozies! ;-) Jennifer
