I Am a New Button Floozie

I’m Pallas, one of your newest Button Floozies, and I am happy to be part of your group. My first memories of my button fascination began with my mother’s button box. My sister and I spent rainy afternoons touching and sorting buttons. We each had our favorites, and I knew which piece of clothing many of them inhabited before moving to the button box. I also enjoy old fabrics, lace, photographs, sewing notions and ephemera that I use to create mixed media art quilt collage. I call my creations Threads in Time by Pallas, thus the name of my blog and website: Threads in Time.

Here is a picture of one of my sectioned button boxes, and one of some of the deco buttons photographed on a piece of vintage barkcloth - another favorite. I look forward to participating in your group, and getting to know you.
